This piece features the recognizable theme from the horse races but in a sort of variation. After that first theme, it transitions to a second theme featuring a lovely polyrhythm before returning to the first theme. The very end of the piece has a tempo marking that reads, "As fast as possible" which I took as a challenge. A fun, not too difficult, timpani solo.
