This piece was always a fun one to perform, this being my second time performing it. I even got to improvise some percussion parts! Composer Notes: Inspired by the composer's journey through the western hill country of England and Wales, this delightful piece borrows from folk melodies he heard on a river near the Scottish border. The three sections of the piece provide very effective contrast and, with Sheldon's artful scoring, this is an excellent choice for concert or contest. Splendid!
